Complete the 2020-2021 Manitoba Student full-time paper application (fillable PDF) (

Print the completed application.
Sign and date the application in all required areas.

Part-time Application
If you are going to a university or college, you are a part-time student if you are taking 20 to 59% of a full course load each term.
+ Instructions for Completing a Part-Time Application
To submit a part-time application (if your course load is 20 – 59% of a full course load), you must follow these steps:
- Complete the Part-Time Canada Student Grant and Loan Application (
846 KB).
- You must complete section A, B, C and D of the part-time application. Section C requires signatures in ink (Applicant and Spouse, if applicable).
- Your educational institution must complete section E of the part-time application. Section E can be completed electronically by your educational institution.
- Attach a copy of the following required documents:
- Your Notice of Assessment from your 2019 Income Tax Return
- Your spouse’s Notice of Assessment from their 2019 Income Tax Return (if applicable)
- Your Permanent Resident (PR) Card or documentation from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (if you are a Permanent Resident or a Protected Person)
- Your academic history that displays your name or student number – photocopies and web transcripts are accepted (if you have ever studied part-time AND received a grant and/or a loan for those studies)

Deadline: Applications must be submitted no later than 45 days before your study period ends. Funds cannot be released after your study period end date.

+ T4A Slips
Students who received a Manitoba Bursary or a Canada Student Grant for Services & Equipment in 2020 will receive a T4A slip from Manitoba Student Aid (MSA). T4A’s will be mailed out at the end of February.
To avoid delays, please ensure that we have your current address on file. You can make changes to your address through the Manitoba Student Aid online portal.
Note: MSA does not issue T4A’s for Manitoba Student Loans.
+ Interest Paid Statements
Since Manitoba Student Loans are currently interest free, no Interest Paid Statements are issued.
