Grades 9 to 12 Web-based Courses

The following courses are available, free of charge, to any school division or adult learning centre wishing to implement web-based courses.

Web-Based Courses are based on Manitoba curriculum that are available for all teachers to use as a resource or to use for online teaching. WBC do not include assessments. Teachers can modify content and add assessments to meet the needs of their students.

Web-Based Courses – PDF are based on Manitoba Distance Learning Independent Study Option courses that are available for all teachers to use as a resource. Like all Web-Based Courses, these PDF versions do not include assessments (Quizzes or Tests). There are instructions for submitting assignments that are specific to the Independent Study Option. Teachers will need to modify content to instruct students on how to submit work.

Online Classroom / Course Template in the LMS

Manitoba teachers may wish to use the tools found in Brightspace to create their own online classroom environment. Brightspace can be used to facilitate communication with students and to easily create customized content for the classroom. Some of the tools include email, discussions, online assignments and tests (Quizzes) and a class calendar. To create this type of environment for your classroom, please use the Brightspace Teacher Registration Form to request access to the LMS. You will then be able to request a Blank Shell course.
