Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning has made a commitment to taking measurable steps for all Manitoba’s children and youth to receive early and ongoing identification of learning needs and appropriate interventions to promote student achievement and well-being.

Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning has expanded access to assessment tools to support student achievement and well-being across Manitoba.


What We’ve Done

Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning has committed to a three year $604,000 contract with Pearson Canada which provides all Manitoba school divisions with access to the Digital Assessment Library in English and French, as well as training from Pearson in the use of the tools.

Starting in the 2023/2024 school year, all Manitoba school divisions will have access to the Digital Assessment Library. Access to the Library will support the early identification of student learning needs across Manitoba. The resource includes an interactive assessment as well as administrative and scoring components, and offers more than 40 resources and assessment tools, from classroom-based to clinical settings.


Next Steps

  • School divisions will receive training and support for the launch, implementation, and training of qualified personnel in the use of the Digital Assessment Library via webinars, video tutorials, a resource library, and technology support from Pearson Canada.
