Cooperative Vocational Education

Cooperative Vocational Education (CVE) falls within the Senior Years Technology Education Program. CVE is an implementation strategy for the Senior Years Technology Education Program. Through CVE, students can complete 8 to 14 credits. It is a full-time Senior 4 option requiring 28 Senior Years credits, including the core subject area requirements. The option is trade-specific and involves 50 to 80 percent of program time on-the-job and 20 to 50 percent in-class instruction. It is work education in its most structured and comprehensive form.
