Assessment and Reporting

Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning believes that the primary role of assessment is to improve student learning and to enhance teaching.

Assessment in the Middle Years takes many forms, ranging from the ongoing daily assessment that informs instructional planning and goal setting to the more formal teacher-directed assessment and reporting on the provincial report card.

The following policy documents, guidelines, and support documents related to assessment in Middle Years educational programming are available on the Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning website.

For more information about policy and resources related to Middle Years assessment, evaluation, and reporting, refer to the Middle Years Assessment website and to the Provincial Report Card website.
