Grades 9 to 12 Applied Commerce Education: Manitoba Technology Education Curriculum Framework of Outcomes

The 2017-18 Skills Strategy Equipment Enhancement Fund grant forms are now available.

In the recent Funding of Schools Announcement, targeted funding to provide students with the state-of-art equipment to learn the high-demand skills they need to get good jobs in Manitoba's growing economy was announced. The Skills Strategy Equipment Enhancement Fund will provide $1,000,000 to improve technical vocational and industrial arts programs in Grades 7-12. The support is intended to ensure that programming is relevant to current and future labour market needs.

This new fund replaces both the Skill Build Initiative and the Technical Vocational Equipment Upgrade with an additional investment of $400,000. The focus of this new fund is preparing students to take advantage of employment opportunities in Manitoba's growing economy and to continue the development of Manitoba's skilled workforce. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting high school level programs to become accredited with Apprenticeship Manitoba.
