Mandate
To ensure that Manitoba’s education and training systems are responsive to Aboriginal peoples.
Objectives
The Aboriginal Education Directorate:
- ensures an integrated approach to Aboriginal education and training
- promotes the development of culturally responsive schools, educational institutions and training programs
- implements the Bridging Two Worlds: Aboriginal Education and Employment Action Plan
- works with government departments related to Aboriginal education and training
