Working with Big Ideas of Science expresses the goals of science education in terms of ‘big ideas’ of science and about science to build an understanding of key ideas from Kindergarten to Grade 10. Implications for teaching methods, curriculum content, formative and summative assessment and teacher professional development are discussed in the book, with particular attention to inquiry-based pedagogy.
