School Bus Drivers' Handbook
The School Bus Drivers' Handbook, published by PTU, is intended to provide school bus drivers with "best known" standard procedures for safe, efficient, economical, and adequate school bus operation. The Handbook focuses on six areas of school bus operation:
Unit A – The School Bus Driver: Role and Responsibility
Unit B – Pupil Relations: Management and Discipline
Unit C – Preventive Maintenance
Unit D – Driving Fundamentals
Unit E – Defensive Driving
Unit F – Accident Prevention and Emergencies

"The Signal"
PTU publishes and distributes a newsletter to Manitoba school divisions’ transportation supervisors, secretary-treasurers, and superintendents. Information in "The Signal" pertains to the pupil transportation industry and includes issues important to Manitoba, as well as events occurring nationally and internationally.

Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Publications
The CSA Standards applicable to the transportation of students include:
- D250 - School Buses (effective November 1, 2007)
- D409 - Motor Vehicles for the Transportation of Persons with Physical Disabilities
- D270 - Multi-Functional Activity Bus
