Manitoba K-12 Affiliated Schools Overseas

There are agreements in place between the government of Manitoba and individual schools in other countries that allow the overseas schools to teach portions of the Manitoba school curriculum. Each school offers a somewhat different program but most employ teachers who hold a Manitoba teacher certificate. Conditions of employment vary depending upon the school, and prospective teachers are selected by a Manitoba agent who represents the school. The intent of most of the agreements with affiliated overseas schools is to enable their graduates to be eligible for a Manitoba high school graduation diploma with the prospect of entry into a Manitoba university.

MEITOKU GIJUKU SCHOOL
An agreement is in place between Meitoku School in Japan, Dakota Collegiate of Winnipeg, and Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth that allows Japanese students to attend school at Dakota Collegiate and obtain Manitoba high school credits.
