For a person who wants to be a certified trade journeyperson, apprenticeship training offers paid on-the-job learning and sponsored technical training. An employer pays an apprentice an incremental, industry-established wage while learning on the job. The Apprenticeship Branch sponsors an apprentice's technical training at school.

The Program provides full and part-time federal and provincial loans, grants, and bursaries, for studies within Manitoba, out-of-province, or out-of-country.
