ASSIGNMENT SUBMISSION TIMELINE EXTENDED

The following is important information to all ISO students regarding ISO assignments and a reminder of the timelines for completion of all ISO courses. The dates listed below are in place in order to complete the courses within the timelines allowed for this program:

  • The timeline for submitting all ISO assignment in all ISO courses (including second attempts) has been extended to Friday, May 28, 2021.
  • Students are encouraged to upload assignments through Brightspace, the Learning Management System (LMS), where possible, reducing mailing costs, and delays.
  • Each task must receive a status of Complete (CO) or a numeric (1-100) mark.
  • Students earning less than 80% on an assignment will be permitted a second attempt. A maximum of two attempts on each assignment is allowed.
  • Students are not permitted to exclude or opt-out of an assignment. Assignments marked as Redo Required or Incomplete or that have a mark of 0 are considered Incomplete and MUST be redone.
  • An overall final mark of 50% or higher must be obtained in order to attain the credit.
  • The calculated mark-to-date displayed in the LMS is an unofficial mark.
  • All marking will be completed on or before June 18, 2021
  • The official signed and sealed Statement of Marks (transcript) will be mailed to the student and school (if applicable) by June 28, 2021 or earlier.
  • The Distance Learning Unit will report all final marks to Manitoba Student Records by June 30, 2021.

REMEMBER: Your mailed work arrives in Winkler and is then forwarded by mail to your Tutor/Marker who in turn needs time to mark your work. The Distance Learning Unit will then create your report card and other records. The use of Xpresspost envelopes is recommended as it provides the ability to track your assignment and guarantees quicker mail service. Or, upload your assignments through the Learning Management System (LMS) to reduce mailing time and expenses. Registered students were issued a username and password at the time of registration. Students requiring the username and password information to be resent may contact distance.learning@gov.mb.ca.
