Responsive Professional Learning

Our goal in supporting professional learning is to help build local capacity that sustains school divisions and schools as learning organizations and enhances classroom practices. Planning is essential to the achievement of this goal. Therefore, our human resources will be directed to schools/divisions/regions that meet the following criteria:

  • an implementation and/or professional learning plan is in place
  • resources are committed for the school year (or beyond)
  • a contact person(s) is identified to provide leadership and support for planning professional learning and follow up

Professional Learning Opportunities

Manitoba Education and Training has already begun working with school divisions through this new phased-in approach and continues to offer various opportunities for professional learning. These include summer institutes, regional professional learning sessions, responsive and co-planning sessions for school divisions, ongoing sessions for divisional leaders, and cycles of sustained, deeper learning for nominated school divisions. Manitoba Education and Training also continues to collaborate with Manitoba universities and stakeholder groups.

Workshop Registration System
Manitoba Education and Training continues to offer regional workshop sessions related to curricula, as well as information technology programming. For a list of available sessions visit the Workshop Registration System.
