TVI sponsored licensing for the CATIA software ended in October 2009. TVI negotiated an extremely favourable licensing renewal agreement with ENGINEERING.com. Under this agreement schools and post-secondary institutions were able to take advantage of a one-time licence purchase option as opposed to an annual licence renewal fee. All provincial colleges, U of M Faculty of Engineering, as well as schools in ten school divisions have taken advantage of this option.
This means that the "hub school" concept continues to grow, as does participation in the F1 in Schools ( 1.7 MB) project.
