Aboriginal Medical Student Financial Assistance Program (AMSFAP)

Manitoba’s medical graduates are the foundation of the future of healthcare in this province. The Province of Manitoba has established the Aboriginal Medical Student Financial Assistance Program to augment the number of Aboriginal students in the undergraduate medical education program at the University of Manitoba and to increase the number of Aboriginal physicians practicing in the province.

Medical Student/Resident Financial Assistance Program (MSRFAP)

Manitoba’s medical graduates are the foundation of the future of healthcare in this province. Recognizing the important contribution of locally trained physicians in providing high-quality health services that meet the needs of Manitobans, the Government of Manitoba established the Medical Student/Resident Financial Assistance Program (MSRFAP) for eligible medical undergraduates and medical residents in May 2001.

Nurse Practitioner Education Grant (NPEG)

Nurse Practitioners are an integral component of Manitoba’s strategy to ensure all Manitobans have access to primary care.  The Nurse Practitioner Education Grant (NPEG) was established in 2013 to encourage Nurse Practitioners to work in rural Manitoba after graduation.
