Change to your address or your next of kin's address
  • on our website, proceed to “MySAO” to change your information at the MySAO Services section “Change My Information”
If your living situation has changed (for example, you are no longer living with your parents), this may change your amount of assistance. A Review may be required.
Change in number of children (added/reduced number of dependants)
  • birth certificate or proof of change to number of your children (example, adoption)
  • verification of child support paid or received, if applicable
 
Family Breakdown (the family situation is beyond a normal disagreement but it is detrimental to your personal safety, mental, or physical health to remain at home)   Contact Student Aid at 204-945-6321 for further directions.

Assets

  • financial statement from mutual fund holder, financial institution, etc., showing the value as of your pre-study period start date. (Internet statements are not accepted.)

Academic

Academic

Change in course load
  • You can submit your course-load change on MySAO (My Student Aid Online). Then go to “Change My Information” to change your course load.
This may change your amount of assistance. A Review may be required.
Funding eligibility suspended due to poor academic progress
  • supporting documentation, such as letter from counselor, academic advisor or medical professional explaining that the cause of the poor academic progress was beyond your control, letter from student re steps to remedy the situation
 
Number of years in studies Manitoba Student Aid has determined that the number of allowed years has been exceeded and you are not eligible for assistance.

Program policy allows for the number of years in your program, plus one additional year.
  • reason for additional time required to complete studies
  • academic printout from your school. Internet transcripts are not accepted
  • other documentation such as medical notes, etc. to support the review
  • confirmation of expected graduation date from school
 
Change in tuition/books/supply costs
  • fee statement
  • receipts
  • letter from school, dated and signed

Exhausted number of certificates/diplomas/degrees

Manitoba Student Aid has determined that you have exceeded the number of allowed certificates/diplomas/degrees, and you are not eligible for assistance.

Program policy allows for one certificate, diploma, and degree.
  • reason for the number of certificates / diplomas / degrees
  • information regarding prerequisite programs, etc. necessary for the current program
  • any documentation, such as supporting letter from school
  • academic printout from your school. Internet transcripts are not accepted
 
Change in institution
  • name of new school and program
  • course load
If you started one school and then switched to another:

  • attendance records from the former school if the change is other than university or college (i.e., if you are attending a private vocational school)
  • amount of tuition you paid this year at your original institution
  • actual tuition/fees paid for new institution

Withdrawal from studies

Parental Contribution

Note:
if you have already received the maximum assistance, you should not submit this form. You will need to look for alternate sources of funding.

When you request a review of your original assessment, you must also submit the required information verifying the changes. All information is subject to verification. Please be sure the information you provide is accurate and complete. Manitoba Student Aid will not review your information if you do not provide the required information.

Check the Manitoba Student Aid website and MySAO (My Student Aid Online) to see if you are missing any information you must provide before Student Aid can provide any assistance you are eligible to receive.
