Project Status
In Spring 1999, teachers selected for Kindergarten to Grade 4 CITI development teams began designing and developing suggestions for instruction and assessment that integrate information technology skills and competencies taken from the Information Technology Literacy Continuum, found in Technology as a Foundation Skill Area: A Journey Toward Information Technology Literacy, 1998, with identified core curricular outcomes in English language arts, science, and mathematics. Kindergarten to Grade 4 was released in Spring 2001.
In Fall 1999, teachers selected for Grades 5 to 8 CITI development teams began work in English language arts, science, and mathematics.
Currently, new Kindergarten to Grade 8 learning experiences are being entered and ongoing improvements are being made to existing content.
Future Status
CITI resources for social studies will be designed and developed concurrently with Manitoba's social studies curriculum development.
CITI professional learning sessions are being offered this fall and will be scheduled in the Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth Workshop Registration System and Event Calendar.
