Deaf/hard of hearing education consultant services include working in collaboration with the school team to:

  • Develop specialized educational programs .
  • Model appropriate teaching techniques.
  • Provide support regarding communication facilitation.
  • Support teachers and parents regarding Deaf/hard of hearing issues.
  • Liaise between the home community and organizations such as Manitoba School for the Deaf, The Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, The Central Speech and Hearing Clinic, and regional audiologist.
  • Provide educational and social activities for rural students on an annual basis in Winnipeg (gr. 5-12).
