  • In consultation with resource teachers and Deaf educational assistants, develops specialized educational programs for Deaf children, models/demonstrates appropriate teaching techniques with the Deaf educational assistants and/or provides teaching strategy suggestions for support.
  • Provides individual academic instruction.
  • Acts as a Deaf role model.
  • Teaches ASL classes to students and to parents/adults in school.
  • Provides resource help to teachers and Educational Assistants specifically regarding teaching strategies and Deaf issues.
  • Provides/teaches subject specific signs in one-one-one settings and through videoconferencing.
  • Develops a one credit course ASL curriculum for use in the public schools.
  • Provides presentations on deafness.
