The Library's Alternate Format Collection supports the education of students who are print disabled (Blind/Visually Impaired, Physically Disabled, Learning Disabled) by providing books in alternate formats, including audio books (cassettes or MP3), Braille, large print and electronic text.  Through the interlibrary loan service, materials are also requested from other centres for the print disabled in Canada, to authorized borrowers who are registered with these centres.
