Re: Post-secondary Acceptance of Mathematics Curricula
As you know, Manitoba Education and Training negotiates articulation arrangements with each of the provinces post-secondary institutions in relation to new curricula. In each subject area, negotiations begin early in the Senior Years curriculum development process. This work is nearing completion as it relates to mathematics curricula.
For your information, attached is a chart titled Summary of Post-secondary Acceptance of Mathematics Curricula. The Department is satisfied with the articulation arrangements negotiated with Red River Community College. Negotiations are continuing with the other five post-secondary institutions to improve acceptance levels.
I would like to thank the many school trustees, superintendents, principals, and guidance counsellors whose efforts contributed to the level of post-secondary acceptance achieved in relation to new mathematics curricula. Your individual and collective efforts contributed greatly to the high level of acceptance we have achieved, as has the collaborative and collegial approach taken by our post-secondary colleagues.
