How to Access ePEARL
School divisions/independent schools have two options to access ePEARL during the 2007 - 2008 school year. These include:
- Contracting with MERLIN to host ePEARL
Go to the MERLIN website to get details about services provided, costs, and contact information for ePEARL hosting. - Hosting ePEARL yourself
Visit the CSLP website for: - the ePEARL software for download (there is no cost)
- installation guide (which includes minimum specifications for running ePEARL)
- other helpful resources
- contact information for help
Teachers in schools/divisions without ePEARL access can obtain a limited trial ePEARL account by contacting Rosalind Robb or John Finch.
Please note: A new version of ePEARL was released August 20, 2007. Improvements include:
- The level 1 (grades K-3) student interface now includes more opportunities for young students to record their reflections and responses to their reading and writing, instead of relying on a 'buddy' to key them in.
- The level 2 (grades 4-6) and level 3 (grade 7-12) interfaces now include guided instruction in the self-regulated learning process: setting goals, establishing criteria, providing descriptive feedback, motivation, and reflection, when creating a new piece of work.
Go to the CSLP website for updated information.
