Re-read Process
Decision to request a re-read:
- If the Student Services Administrator, along with the school team, does not agree with a funding decision, they may request a re-read from the Funding Review Team.
- Re-read requests must be submitted within 10 working days after receipt of either the Preliminary or Final funding results to the school division.
- New information required for the re-read
- When requesting a re-read on an application, new information must be provided to support the application.
- Resubmission of the application or information already sent in is not necessary.
- If school or parent has a question concerning the funding decision they should discuss this with the school division Student Services Administrator.
- Requests for re-reads must be forwarded to the Department from the Student Services Administrator only.
- Re-read submissions received from a school division are date stamped and processed within 10 working days of receipt.
- Determination of eligibility of applications submitted for a re-read: The original funding application and the additional information will be re-read by members of the Funding Review Team that did not make the first determination of eligibility.
- Communication of results of the re-read: Re-read decisions will be communicated in writing to the school division Student Services Administrator. It is expected that the Student Services Administrator will communicate the decision to the school team.
- An application may be re-read only once. If circumstances change significantly or new information becomes available to support consideration for Level II or III, a school division may resubmit a new application during the next funding period.
