Educational Interpreting Consultant Services

Educational Interpreting Consultant Services include:

• Consultative support for school teams with regard to students who are Deaf and/or hard of hearing and who use American Sign Language (ASL)
• Formal evaluation of interpreting skills of staff as requested by School Division personnel
• Professional development opportunities on ASL development and interpreting skills for interpreters and educational assistants working with students who are Deaf and/or hard of hearing and who use ASL

Consultative services are provided to students and school staff in all areas of the province on a limited, short term basis. A completed Outreach referral form from the school is required.
