  • Support school programming for Manitoban students who are Deaf/hard of hearing and who use American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Provide a formal evaluation of interpreting skills of staff as requested by School Division personnel
  • Model use of appropriate interpretation in the classroom
  • Support families, school staff, and students who are Deaf/hard of hearing
  • Support the school team in facilitating inclusion for students who use ASL-English interpretation services
  • Support the school team in developing ASL skills
  • Provide workshops on ASL development and interpreting skills for interpreters and educational assistants working with students who are Deaf and hard of hearing and who use ASL
