Deaf/hard of hearing education consultant services include working in collaboration with the school team to:

  • Develop specialized educational programs
  • Model appropriate teaching techniques
  • Provide support regarding communication facilitation
  • Support teachers and parents regarding Deaf/hard of hearing issues
  • Liaise between the home community and organizations such as the Manitoba School for the Deaf, The Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, The Central Speech and Hearing Clinic, and the regional audiologist
  • Provide educational and social activities for rural students on an annual basis in Winnipeg (gr. 5-12)
