Continuous Submission Procedures

• Complete Curriculum correlation form(s) for every learning resource for the grade level(s) your resource addresses
  
  
• Be sure to consult the following documents:

  • The Common Curriculum Framework for English Language Arts, Kindergarten to Grade 12, 1998 ( 1.49 MB)
    

• Submit the paperwork only, not the actual resource
  
  
• Send the completed Curriculum Correlation Form(s) to the submission address listed below
  

• Manitoba will review the curriculum correlation form. A letter will be sent from Manitoba Education and Youth EITHER declining the resource OR requesting three copies of the resource for evaluation to be accompanied by a Resource Submission Form ( 21 KB)
  
  
• Periodically, the WNCP committee considers the evaluated titles to determine WNCP designated resources and forwards the list to the Western ADMs for final approval as WNCP approved resources. You will be notified in writing of the outcome of your submission(s). A listing of WNCP Resources selected, as a result of Continuous Submission will be available at Western and Northern Canadian Protocol website.

 

Procedure for new editions of WNCP ELA Approved Learning Resources

New editions of previously approved WNCP ELA resources may be submitted with details of changes. Provide a report, which outlines where changes - revisions and deletions - have been made following the guidelines in New Versions or Editions of Currently Approved Resources ( 7 KB).

2. Customs and Shipping

• If you are shipping from outside Canada, in order to expedite Customs clearance, you are requested to:
  • Attach a customs declaration to the outside of the package
  • Include a description of the goods, their value and a statement indicating that the materials are for education/evaluation purposes only
  • Indicate that UPS Supply Chain Solutions is the customs broker for Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth
