Reference and Information Services

Resources

Reference and Information Services supports the research, teaching and professional learning needs of Manitoba's Kindergarten through Senior 4 educators through the provision of instruction in using library resources, research assistance, bibliography creation and by offering workshops in the use of the library, electronic resources, and copyright issues.

The collection consists of books, videocassettes, films, kits, audiocassettes, CD-ROMs, DVDs, journals, government publications and a variety of electronic resources.

Electronic Resources and Databases

The IRU provides online access to several electronic resources, including bibliographic databases, encyclopedias and full text education journals. Most of the electronic resources are password protected and are only accessible to eligible registered patrons. Contact Reference and Information Services staff for passwords and Access Services staff to register with the library.
