Periodicals Collection
The Periodicals Catalogue lists alphabetically the periodical or journal holdings of the Instructional Resources Unit, as of December 2005. Approximately 500 periodical titles are listed, covering subjects such as educational research and theory, curriculum areas for Kindergarten to Senior 4, children's literature and multiculturalism.
Periodicals in the IRU are available for in-house use only. Individuals photocopying journal articles or IRU staff photocopying articles for clients will follow the exceptions set out in the Copyright Act and per the Pan Canadian Schools/CANCOPY Licence Agreement (1999-2004), as extended August 26, 2004.
IRU provides online access to electronic educational journals, some of which are full text. To access these online articles please visit the Virtual Education Information Services. Reference and information services are provided for areas covered by the periodical collection.
