Borrowing Information
- The Library, Manitoba Education directly serves Manitoba Educators as outlined in our Clientele Information. For registration information, see Registration Information.
- Patrons are eligible to borrow only on their own number.
- Resources can be delivered by various methods including in-person pickup, school division courier pickup and federal mail. Individuals are responsible for all resources borrowed until they are returned to and received by the Library.
- The Library reserves the right to limit the number and/or types of resources borrowed.
- Resources in the Library’s Main Collection cannot be booked in advance and are circulated on a four-week loan basis, and resources in the Media Booking Collection (DVDs, videos, CDROMs, selected kits) may be booked in advance and are loaned for a one-week period. The Media Booking Schedule indicates when items can be booked in advance.
- Resources in the Alternate Format Collection can be borrowed for the entire school year, except for Touch Books which have a three month loan period.
- Resources must be returned on or before the due date. All Library privileges, including media bookings and media duplication, may be suspended if resources are not returned on time.
- Resources may be borrowed free of charge, with postage paid both ways by Manitoba Education for Main Collection resources sent by federal mail, and paid one way for Media Booking resources.
