Copyright Matters! 2005
The booklet Copyright Matters: Some Key Questions and Answers for Teachers was recently sent to all K-12 teachers in Manitoba. This 2005 bilingual edition is authored by Wanda Noel, Barrister and Solicitor, and published jointly by the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, the Canadian Teachers' Federation and the Canadian School Boards Association. Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth purchased and distributed free copies to all schools in Manitoba. The purpose of the booklet is to answer frequently asked questions about copyright in education. Since the publication of the first edition in 2001, a significant number of changes in copyright have taken place and this new booklet provides up-to-date information on copyright law and copyright collectives. See the electronic versions of Copyright Matters! and the news release available at the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) website.
