Re: Pan Canadian Schools/CANCOPY Copyright Licence Agreement (1999-2004)
In December 1999 I sent you a memo which explained the financial component of the new Pan Canadian Schools/CANCOPY Copyright License Agreement (1999-2004).
As part of this May’s bulk mailing, information is being provided to all school staff in publicly funded schools regarding the nature of the Agreement.
I am requesting that you ensure that the attached information is distributed or posted to any location for which there is no principal or classroom teacher.
First, please find attached 10 copies of the three-page letter to school staff. I am requesting that each individual who works in your board office, consulting area or printing area receives a copy. Please feel free to photocopy this information.
Second, attached are three copies of the new Poster on yellow-coloured paper that must be located on or near each photocopier in your board office and any other non-school location. Please remove and destroy any previously existing Posters. Additional copies of the new Poster can be secured by phoning Carmel Pahl at 945-1686.
Lastly, attached is a copy of a letter sent to all principals.
Copies of all this information is available on the IRU web site at http://www.edu.gov.mb.ca/k12/iru/index.html, click IRU Publications and then Pan Canadian Schools/CANCOPY Copyright Licence Agreement Information.
If you have any questions regarding this Agreement, please contact John Tooth at 945-7833 or 1-800-282-8069, ext. 7833 or via email at John.Tooth@gov.mb.ca.
