The Periodicals Catalogue lists alphabetically the periodical or journal holdings of the Instructional Resources Unit (IRU) as of Spring 2011.  Approximately 500 periodical titles are listed, covering subjects such as educational research and theory, curriculum areas for Kindergarten to Grade 12, children’s literature and, diversity and equity.

Access to the IRU journal collection is based on the format, either electronic or print.

Paper-based periodicals in the IRU are available for in-house use only. Individuals photocopying journal articles or IRU staff photocopying articles for clients will follow the exceptions set our in the Copyright Act and per the Elementary and Secondary School Tariff, 2005-2009, extended until replaced by the proposed 2010-2012 Tariff.

The Virtual Education Information Services of the IRU provides electronic access to educational journals including full text articles. Information services are provided for areas covered by the periodicals collection.
