Animation World Network (AWN)
Web address: http://www.awn.com
If you are looking for information on animation, this is the place to spend some time. With offices in Hollywood, London and Stuttgart, AWN is serious about animation. The site includes both an online magazine, Animation World Magazine, and a network of information that brings together animators, up-and-comers, and animation audiences the world over. Their magazine includes articles, profiles, interviews, reviews and commentaries. In addition to the magazine, the site offers a number of interesting features, including an online store, and Animation Village - links to other animation sites, including animators, non-profit organizations, production companies, amongst others. They have downloadable back issues as well; one edition educators might find interesting is the March '97 issue on Children and Animation (1.12).
