Scanning Television - Video Kit for Media
Literacy

Details the award-winning video kit (4 videocassettes with teacher's guide),
40 "student-centred" television clips compiled to initiate discussion, and
develop student's media literacy skills. Manitoba Education, Citizenship and
Youth's Instructional Resources Unit (IRU) loans copies of the Scanning Television series to Manitobans with IRU patron
numbers (previewing is recommended due to content); the series can be borrowed
through the libraries media booking
services, or ordered through IRU's video
duplication service.
