Alternate Format Collection & Services

The Library's Alternate Format Collection supports the education of students who are print disabled (Blind/Visually Impaired, Physically Disabled, Learning Disabled) by providing books in alternate formats, including audio books (cassettes or MP3), braille, large print and electronic text.  Through the inter-library loan service, materials are also requested from other educational resource centres for the print disabled in Canada, to authorized borrowers who are registered with these centres. Materials are also borrowed from these centres for Manitoba students who are print disabled.

Services provided to patrons include instruction of the use of the online catalogue, quick and in depth information and detailed searches of the collection.
