The Instructional Resources (Library) provides Manitoba Kindergarten through Grade 12 educators with curriculum implementation support, educational research and professional development materials; Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth staff with essential library services; teachers-in-training with library services as preparation for teaching; and all of the above clients, including the general public, with library services to facilitate lifelong learning and parental involvement.

Library's 90th Birthday

On October 23, 2006 Manitoba School Library Day, the Honourable Peter Bjornson, Minister of Education, Citizenship & Youth, addressed teachers and staff at the 90th birthday celebration of the Instructional Resources Unit (Library)

New Resources

New Resources lists recent items added to the collections and available through the Library. In addition to providing information about each resource, it includes information on acquiring the item - through loan, media duplication, and booking. Some of these resources are available online to our registered patrons.

Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)

The Instructional Resources (Library) has recently upgraded its Online Public Access Catalogue and installed a new OPAC with a Share View Function. This improvement uses new technology offering more features and functions.  To access the new OPAC SV, all schools must have ports 4100-4104 open on their network.  Any questions should be directed to Sam Davoodifar at 945-4904 or 800-282-8069 ext. 4904.
