Services: This is a commercial corporation which operates a hazardous waste management system for Manitoba. Its mandate is to provide for the handling of regulated hazardous wastes from their source through to their treatment and disposal, consistent with high standards of public health, safety and environmental quality. The corporation can provide waste management capabilities and waste reduction services for large and small quantity services. Many schools combine their wastes through the Manitoba Association of School Trustees (MAST).
The corporation operates the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Depot at 55 Trottier Bay in Winnipeg which is open Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for non-commercial waste only.

Services: The division administers the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its regulations in order that safety and health hazards are detected and prevented in all provincial workplaces. The goal is to eliminate workplace fatalities and to reduce workplace injuries and health hazards. The division conducts education programs and assists in the training of employees and management in workplace safety and health matters.
Regulations administered by the Division include the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Regulation and the Workplace Health Hazard Regulation.
