Four Foundation Skill Areas

Literacy and Communication

  • using language, in all its forms, in learning across subject areas
  • reading, writing, listening, speaking viewing, and other ways of knowing (e.g., role playing, sketching, diagramming, dramatizing) are vehicles and tools for learning across the curricula

Problem-Solving

  • developing problem-solving applications including
