Direction des ressources éducatives françaises (DREF)

La Direction des ressources éducatives françaises (DREF),  a library of the Manitoba Department of Education and Early Childhood Learning, provides educators in the province with a range of instructional resources in a format that is both user-friendly and easily accessible on its web portal. The main purpose of the DREF is to make French-language instructional materials in various formats available to teachers from Kindergarten to Grade 12 at Français and Immersion schools, as well as at English Program schools offering French courses.

Alternate Formats Collection

To respond to needs identified by school divisions, the Alternate Formats Collection supports the education of students who are print handicapped (Blind/Visually Impaired, Physically Disabled, and Learning Disabled) by providing books in Alternate Formats (audiotape, braille, large print, and electronic text). AFS, in conjunction with the vision consultants, also provides Special Learning Equipment (loans and repair) for some severely disabled students and technology support for blind/visually impaired students. Vision screening training and equipment loans and repair, as well as post-secondary alternate format books, can also be accessed at this site.
