Distance Learning: A Guide for Teacher Mediated Option 2011-2012 ( 683 KB)

The Teacher Mediated Option (TMO) provides high school age and adult learners with access to selected distance learning courses. TMO learners use independent study distance learning courses supplemented with scheduled audio teleconference classes hosted by a teacher. Classes can be recorded and additional support from the teacher occurs via email and phone.

In order to access a TMO course, a student must be registered in a Manitoba high school or adult learning centre that supports TMO course delivery. Schools and adult learning centres issue the credit to distance learners who successfully complete a TMO course.
