Please register students when timetables are confirmed as refund policy is in effect.

  • A $30.00 administration fee is deducted per course if the wrapping has not been opened.
  • A $50.00 administration fee is deducted per course if the wrapping is opened and the
    complete course is returned unmarked.
  • Course refunds must be applied for within the first 30 days of registration.
  • Refunds are not issued for video CD/DVD’s, audio CD’s, CD ROMs or other resources.
  • Costs incurred in returning course material are at the purchaser’s expense.
  • The ISO office reserves the right to refuse a refund based on the return condition of the course material.

ISO Course Completion Deadlines

Examination Request Deadline: 4 weeks prior to the exam being written

Assignment Deadline: 6 weeks prior to completing the course

Examination Deadline: 5 weeks prior to completing the course

Examination Rewrite Deadline: 3 weeks prior to completing the course

  • Final Exams must be written within 12 months of the date of registration
  • A minimum mark of 30% is required on both the midterm and final exams. A student receiving a mark less than 30% on any exam will be required to rewrite the exam
  • Students who fail an examination (30% to 49%) may choose to rewrite the exam
  • Midterm and final exams can only be rewritten once.

Note: Effective July 1, 2010, a minimum of 40% on any mid or final exam or ELA progress test will be required. Students scoring less than 40% on any of the above exams/tests will be required to rewrite. An exam rewrite fee will apply.

Attending Students Registration Periods

Option A: Students have 12 months from the date of registration to complete a course. Students can register at any time with school authorization.

Option B: Register by October 16, 2009 to receive a credit by January 2010.

Option C: Register by March 5, 2010 to receive a credit by June 2010 and Graduation.

Option D: July and August registrations require school authorization.

  • Registration and payment must be received by the ISO office on or before October 16, 2009 if one wishes to receive credit for a course(s) by January 2010 (1st semester).
  • Registration and payment must be received by the ISO office on or before March 5, 2009 if one wishes to receive credit for a course(s) by June 2010 (2nd semester and graduation).
  • Students registering to take a course during July and August are required to have the school complete Section B of the registration form.
  • Students who have not completed their course of study within the 12 month period will be withdrawn from the course.

Course Repeats/Registration

Courses may be repeated in the following circumstances:

  1. Students who are unable to complete the course within one year may reregister once.
  2. Students who fail to achieve a passing grade of 50% or more may reregister once.
  3. Registration for a course must occur within 3 months of the expiry of the original registration. A new registration form must be submitted when registering with payment. ISO Facilitator's or a Principal's signature and parent/guardian are required.
Replacement Materials

Students who have misplaced their ISO course materials will be required to complete the appropriate section of the registration form and send it along with payment in order to receive replacements.

Examination Rewrite

Students who fail an examination will be allowed to rewrite the midterm and/or final only once. An examination rewrite must take place within the 12 month course registration time period. The fee must be paid prior to the examination rewrite.

Course Transfers

Students may transfer from one course to one of equal or lesser credit value within 30 calendar days of registering. Only one course transfer will be permitted per initial registration. The transfer fee is listed above. Please call the ISO office if you are transferring to a subject of a higher credit value. Courses are not transferable between students.
