Recommended prerequisite—Grade 11 Computer Science (30S)

Unlike other independent study option courses, this one is online, not in print. this means that, once students have been registered for the course, they will not receive a print package. Instead, they will receive a password and username that will enable them to access the course on the Internet, through an online learning management system called Blackboard. Students will then complete the course online and email their assignments to their Tutor/Marker.

This course gives students the chance to solve problems, accomplish tasks, and express creativity by using programming techniques in Microsoft C++ Express Edition. These techniques are applicable to other programming languages. This course enables students to explore and further develop skills in solving problems and prepare them for further study at college or university. It is structured as follows:

  • Module 1: Introduction
  • Module 2: Progamming Review
  • Module 3: Parallel Arrays and Structures
