The Independent Study Option (ISO) provides the opportunity and flexibility for both schoolage and adult learners to study a wide range of compulsory and optional distance education courses from Grades 8–12.

Grade 8 students who are attending school or being homeschooled can register for Middle Years courses. Grade 9 to 12 courses are available to complete the requirements towards a Senior Years Diploma, Mature Student Diploma or post-secondary admission.

In the event that you leave the province on a temporary or permanent basis, the Independent Study Option (ISO) also provides the opportunity for continuing the study of Manitoba curriculum en route to receiving a Senior Years graduation diploma.
