What is my child learning in school?
Welcome, parents!
The purpose of this site is to provide you with information about what your child is learning in compulsory subject areas:
- The Arts
- English Language Arts
- Mathematics
- Physical Education / Health Education
- Science
- Social Studies
The information is organized by grade Kindergarten through Grade 8. With local variations in classroom programming such as multi-grade classes, you may need to refer to more than one grade. In addition to reviewing the basic curriculum information provided here, you are encouraged to discuss specific details about your child's programming, such as textbooks and other learning resources being used, with the classroom teacher. (Refer to the left to select the grade and program.)
Working towards the success of all learners is our first priority. We encourage teachers to use a variety of strategies to make all students feel welcome at school and to meet the wide range of needs in their classrooms.
