Framework for the Teaching of Intensive French and Enhanced French in Manitoba, School Year 2007-2008 (88 KB)
In recent years, the introduction of the Intensive French and Enhanced French approach, within the context of Basic French, has provided for authentic language acquisition through increased time, intensity, and prescribed teaching strategies. This alternative approach, which aims at improving the communicative competence of Basic French students, also enables a wide spectrum of students to benefit from the advantages of a communicative experience in French.

Bursaries for Teachers
Do you wish to learn French, perfect your French or perfect your pedagogical skills to teach the language? Participate to programs offered at the Collège universitaire de Saint-Boniface or outside the province of Manitoba over the spring or summer months and receive a bursary for it! Nouveautés à la DREF – Français de base, Winter 2007-08 ( 148 KB)

Contes animés V
The BEF is just completing Contes animés V, the last set in its animated series. There are four new stories- Le lion et la souris, Les trois petits cochons, La petite poule rouge et Mini, Minou et Misti. The kit contains a DVD and a teacher’s guide which is an excellent resource for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. There are also suggested strategies for differentiated learning.

Le programme d’études 4e à 6e année
The curriculum guide has been revised. Improvements to the document include additional evaluation exercises and supplementary reading lists, as well as updated appendix sections.
