The ECEU is thrilled to confirm that our Kindergarten Support Document, A Time for Learning, A Time for Joy will be released in the 2015-2016 school year. Save the date for our regional training for Kindergarten Teachers early in 2016. School divisions are encouraged to register their entire team of Kindergarten teachers.

Leading for a Strong Start
On March 9, 2015 the Early Childhood Education Unit welcomed approximately 100 school leaders to “Leading for a Strong Start”, a forum to introduce superintendents, principals and others to the soon to be released Kindergarten Support Document, A Time for Learning, A Time for Joy. Jim Grieve, ADM for the Ontario Ministry of Education shared his expertise about play-based learning, while a panel of principals and superintendents described their own roles as champions for play-based learning in their communities.
