Building Bridges to a Bigger World: Early Childhood Education and EAL

building bridges There are more young children than ever in Manitoba who start early childhood services or school with a first or home language other than English or French.

In March 2017 in Winnipeg, and October 2017 in Brandon, hundreds of early childhood educators, early years teachers, settlement workers and staff of parent-child programs gathered together to learn how to best assist children (0-6 yrs) in learning English as an additional language. Presenters shared many practical suggestions to support early childhood and Early Years educators in their work with children and families from diverse communities.
