Intensive French Immersion Studies Bursary (fall and winter sessions) |
For Anglophone Manitoba students who want to be completely immersed in the French language and culture outside their home province. The French Immersion Studies Bursary is offered in various Canadian bilingual or French-language post-secondary institutions outside Manitoba. First, students must decide which institution and program appeals to them and then they can apply for the bursary. For more information, visit the Intensive French Immersion Studies FAQ page. |
$2,500 (lifetime maximum) or $1,250 per session |

For Anglophone students with full-time status. This intensive French learning experience is full of new discoveries and adventures for students from across Canada. Three-week program: for students 13 to 15 years of age Five-week program: for students 16 years and older |
$2000 for the in-person program ($1600 for the virtual program) for participants from 13 to 15 years old, or $2800 for the in-person program ($2240 for the virtual program) for participants aged 16 years and older. This amount covers most expenses relative to the program. |

One-week summer program at the Université de la Paix, in Caen, France (offered from June 19 to 23, 2023) |
The program’s participants are students at the Université de Saint-Boniface who wish to promote and advocate for human rights and peace, in a one week program offered by the Institut international des droits de l’homme et de la paix (2IDHP) in Caen in Lower Normandy. Students must be registered for courses in political science, social studies (history and geography), sociology or international studies. $2,500 (maximum) offered by the Bureau de l’éducation française to cover transportation costs between Winnipeg and Caen. The Institut will cover tuition fees, accommodations, meals and costs related to instructional materials. |
