Nomination - Partnership for Literacy

Partnership for Literacy recognizes exceptional efforts and action demonstrating innovation and initiative that have a significant impact on literacy. This award category pays tribute to individuals, businesses, organizations, and groups who have championed literacy in a significant way, but whose main focus or work is not literacy.

To submit a nomination for the Leaders in Literacy Education category:

A. Complete the nomination form. (26 KB)

B. Respond to each of the following statements as thoroughly and concisely as possible. Submissions are to be typed, and should be limited to a maximum of five typed pages.

1. What has the nominee done to champion literacy? What are the nominee’s exceptional efforts and actions for literacy?
2. How has the nominee demonstrated innovation and commitment in the advancement of literacy in Manitoba?
3. Give evidence that the nominee fosters collaboration and partnership to champion literacy in a significant way. Identify how the partners exemplify the spirit of teamwork and a cooperative effort.
4. Provide a summary of the nominee’s overall contribution and significant impact on literacy, including the difference made in the lives of individuals or the community. Provide a description of the positive impact the nominee’s efforts have had upon the community or individuals within it.
5. Please list the additional documentation submitted in support of the nomination and indicate the criteria that are demonstrated by each piece of additional document.

C. Provide documentation to support your nominee. This may include newspaper articles, magazine or journal articles by, or about, the nominee, letters of support, photographs, examples of materials developed by the nominee (print, video, sound recording etc.) copies of awards received or other concrete examples of the impact of the nominee’s contribution to literacy.
